Clean the surface of the stone to make sure that there are no visible marks on it, and then breath on the stone. If the fog settles on the stone and clears within 2 to 3 seconds, then you have a real diamond whereas the American diamond would stay cloudy for a longer time period
Again, clean and wipe the surface of the diamond stone and keep it face-down on a text paper or newspaper, and try to read the text through the diamond. If you’re unable to make the letters and texts on the article through the stone, then your diamond is real, and not American
You can weigh the stones to observe which one is heavier. If you’re diamond shows higher weight reading for the same shape as the other diamond stone, then you have an American diamond
Dip the diamond stone you have with yourself in a cup full of water. If the stone sinks to the bottom, then your diamond is real; otherwise, it’s an American diamond
Always check the certifications and other relevant documents that prove the originality and authenticity of the diamond jewellery before buying it
