2. Can I exchange jewellery from other brands?

Accepted Answer

Yes, gold jewellery from any brand can be exchanged.
However:
Non-Melorra jewellery is only eligible for exchange (not cash refund)
Purity will be verified before valuation

Mandatory for Melorra gold and diamond jewellery
Recommended for other gold jewellery
If missing, items may be sent for detailed evaluation

Current gold rate
Net weight (after removing stones/impurities)

Final value = Gold rate × purity × net weight (with applicable deductions)

We use advanced Karatmeter (XRF) technology to check gold purity instantly and accurately.
It is a non-destructive test
Results are automated and directly recorded in the system
Ensures complete accuracy with no manual intervention
For non-Melorra jewellery, final purity may be confirmed after melting and spectrometer testing.

Melorra jewellery: No melting required
Other brands: Jewellery may be melted to determine accurate purity

7. How does the melting and purity testing process work?

Accepted Answer

For non-Melorra jewellery:
Stones, dust, and impurities are removed
The jewellery is melted into a small metal piece
The metal is cleaned using a mild acid solution
Purity is tested using a spectrometer at multiple points
An average purity is calculated for final valuation
The spectrometer reading is considered final.

Yes, deductions may apply based on:
Purity level
Type of jewellery
Presence of stones or impurities
Any discounts applied during original purchase (for diamonds) will also be deducted.

9. Can I get cash for my old jewellery?

Melorra products: Eligible for Old Gold Exchange (refund to bank account)
Other brands: Only exchange is allowed (no cash payout)

Original invoice (mandatory for studded jewellery)
Valid ID proof (PAN/Aadhaar, etc.)
Bank details
PAN required for transactions above ₹2 lakhs

Yes. The price in your local currency includes applicable duties, taxes and forex transaction charges that we incur when we ship to your country from India.

I live in India and want to pay in Indian currency but get it delivered to an international location. Is it possible?

As per RBI guideline, we can only accept payment in foreign currency for an international delivery. You can pay in foreign currency via an international PayPal account or credit / debit card issued internationally.
